On Sunday February 4th 1990, 30 Israelis went to Egypt for a trip.
About 50 Km from Ismaliaya a car approached the bus shooting and throwing grenades.
Nine Israelis were killed and many other wounded.
The monumnet commemorating the nine was built near Kibbutz Yad Mordechai at the junction where they had thier last stop inside Israel before crossing the border into Egypt.
