On Sunday March 31st 2002 many people were dining in the “Matza” restaurant in Haifa, among them Shimon and his two sons Ran and Gal.
A suicide bomber entered the restaurant and exploded killing 15 people, tens were wounded.
The explosion caused a big fire and great destruction, the restaurant roof caved in on the people in the restaurant.
Shimon Koren 54 years old and his two sons Ran 18 years old and Gal 14 years old were killed.
An art work created by Gal is put on display At Gal's school in Haifa in his memory.
