Rani Sultanik, a 15-year-old boy from Haifa, collapsed while playing soccer with his friends in the neighborhood, and died within a short time.
Rani was a very good friend of Asaf Zur (Blondi) and they played soccer together on many occasions. After Rani died, Asaf visited Rani's house and parents, coming to prayers during the Shiva. Asaf wasn't an early riser and to wake him up was a very hard task. However, in order to get to the Shiva prayers, he woke up daily at 5 am and ran there, all in respect of his dead friend and his parents.
Rani is also commemorated on Asaf's memorial site.
Rani's parents named the neighborhood sport center after Rani.
Since this site deals with commemoration and since Rani and Asaf were so close, this commemoration site, the only one who is not a terror victim, is included.
