On Tuesday July 24, 2001, 18-year-old Yuri Gushchin was at his construction job. His Arab "friends" invited him to come and eat with them in Jerusalem. Yuri agreed with out hesitation. After eating and laughing they tempted Yuri to go to Ramallah to check an opportunity for another job.
On the way they murdered him by stabbing and shooting him. His family placed a memorial in a JNF forest.
The memorial plate is located at the side of the main road from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, near the exit to Shoresh.
