On Thursday August 9th 2001, Zvika Golomback 26 years old and his fiancé Naama went into the “Sbaro” restaurant in Jerusalem., later that day the families were suppose to meet to set the date for Zvika and Naama Wedding.
A Suicide bomber entered the restaurant and exploded killing 15 people amongst them 7 children and wounding many others.
Zvika died with his big famous smile on his face.
The monument in Zvika's memory was erected in karmiel near the street where his parents live.
The monument is built and on its top is cube symbolizing the luck or lack of it in our lives. the numbers n the cube are 2 & 6, the numbers of Zvika age, on top of the cube the dove of peace,a peace that Zvika believed in in all his heart.
The monumnet was planned and built by the artist Yehuda Arbel who also lives in Karmiel.
