On Monday September 23rd 2002 Rabbi Shlomo Shapira and his three children went to Hebron. When returning from “Avraham Avinu” neighborhood to Ma'arat HaMachpela.


When going through the market a terrorist opened fire.

Rabbi shlomo Shapira and his three children were wounded.

Rabbi Shlomo Shapira died later that day.


His son Joshua was badly wounded and the two other sons Yehuda and Pinchas were wounded lightly.

Rabbi Shlomo Shapira was 48 years old.
