French Hill Junction

On September 22nd, 2004, two border control soldiers were standing at the control post in Jerusalem French hill junction.

The two were Jonathan Tahio, 20 years old and Menashe Kommemie, 19 years old. In that hour in the afternoon the nearby station was packed with tens of people, civilians, and soldiers.

A female terrorist approached trying to go around the checking post, the two noticed her and called her to stop, when they came near her she activated the bomb in her bag killing herself and the two soldiers. Thirty people were wounded.

Jonathan Tahio died two weeks after his twentieth birthday.
