On July 22nd 1946 Yehuda Marmelstien was in Jerusalem, he went to the King David hotel to get papers for his travel.
The Etzel organization planted a bomb at the hotel which was the main office of the British command in Palestine.
Even though the Etzel gave a 30 minutes warning by calling the hotel, the “Palestine Post” and the near by French consulate the hotel wasn’t evacuated and the British security men didn’t let people out of the building. 91 people were killed and many were wounded, Yehuda was killed.
Yehuda was 22 years old.
