On June 6th, 2002, in the afternoon, Erez Rond, 18 years old, was on his way from the school where he learned in Meiron to his house in Ofra. He caught a ride with a family going from Eli to Jerusalem. Near the old British police station north of Ramallah terrorists opened fire at the car.
Erez was badly wounded in the chest and died that day in the hospital.
The rest of the passengers were not hit.
