On November 15th, 2002, Friday night, lieutenant Dani Cohen, 22 years old, lead his company to assist in a battle against a group of terrorists that have attacked people from Hebron on their way to pray in Cave of Machpela, burial site of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sara, Rebecca and Leah.
The memorial was erected in memory of Dani and the uncle he was named after, the uncle was killed in the Yom Kipur war on 1973.
