On Sunday September 12th 1948, Arab terrorists who came more and more to the Sharon area to still and kill, entered the construction site of Udim. The Terrorists killed the two watchmen, Zalman Douitch, 18 years old and his friend Aizeek Frid, 22 years old and stole their weapons.
The next day, Eimre Schwartz participated in an ambush of the settlement people in an attempt to catch the terrorists. in a misunderstanding between the people Eimre was shot by his friends.
In the forest near Udim on the east side of road 2 near the Wingate institute a monument was built in memory pf the three.
