On December, 2nd, 1993, Yitzhak Weinstock, 19 years old, went to Eli to say goodbye to his teachers and friends before enlisting into the IDF. On his way , near El-Bira, south of Ramallah the car they went in broke.

Yitzhak helped the driver to fix the car. At that time a car with terrorists came closer and opened fire at the people outside the broken car, the driver and his daughter were wounded, Shalva Uzana, a young kindergarten teacher was killed and Yitzhak was badly wounded and rushed to the Hadassah Hospital where he died from his wounds.

In Yitzhak memory, his father, Dubak, renewed the “Ein Yitzhak” spring in Gush Etzion. The Spring is a center point to many hikers of the area. Many come to visit the place and swim in it.

Under the son spring a small pool was built in memory of the Father after he passed away in 2007.
