On Thursday October 18, 2001, Lior Kofman, 30 Years old and friend came back from a Jeep trip in the Judea desert. Near the mar Saba monastery the Jeep convoy was Ambushed and attacked, the terrorists shot at the Jeeps, wounding 2 and killing Lior.
A big commemoration was erected at the place of attack, a Jeep shaped monument made from steel. Not long after Arab metal thieves stole the monument, the family rebuild the monument from stone at the same place.
