On Thursday Evening, March 30th 2006, Helena HaLevy, 59 years old and her husband, Rafi, 63 years old, came back from a birthday celebration for their granddaughter. On the way they picked to hitchhikers, Reut Feldman and Shaked Lasker. Near the Karnei Shomron junction they picked another hitchhiker , an Arab terrorist dressed as an orthodox Jew. When reaching the entrance to Kedumim the terrorist exploded the bomb on his body, killing all that were in the car.
During the final stage of the drive, Rafi, must have identified the terrorist and turned the car to the other direction from the entrance to the settlement , saving many lives of people that were there.
