On Sunday February 4th 1990, Shmuel and his wife Hana, together with 30 other Israelis went to Egypt for a trip. About 50 Km from Ismaliaya a car approached the bus shooting and throwing grenades.
Nine Israelis were killed and many other wounded.
Shmuel Horvitz was killed in the attack.
