On March 1st, 2008, the IDF launched an operation “Hot Winter” to remove rocket firing squads from the Israel border range. Eran Dan-Gur, 21 years old, went with the forces on that operation. During heavy fire exchange in Gabalia neighborhood, mostly of the Hamas organization, Eran was killed from RPG rocket.
