On August 5th, 2002, the Volonsky family returned from Avital’s parents house to their home in Eli. Near the village of Luben-A-Sarkiya shots were fired at the family’s car. Avi, 29 years old and Avital, 27 years old were killed on spot. In the car were also their two children, Yigal, 3 years old was badly wounded, the younger brother Nadav was not hurt.
“Bravery Spring” known also as Ein Al Arique is located on the Samaria mountains, on “The Fathers road”. South of the Spring is Shilo. Current name of the Spring was given after the shooting and killing of Avi and Avital Volonsky.
The spring is being taken care by Youth from nearby Eli settlement.
