On January 8, 2017, A Palestinian terrorist drove his truck into a group of soldiers who were in Jerusalem as part of a special culture day on the Armon Hanatziv promonade. the Terrorist from the near by village of Jabel Muckaber, saw the group disembarking their bus and drove into them, then he stopped and drove back to run over the group again, soldiers and tour guides shot him till the truck stopped.
Four soldiers were murderd and 13 badly wounded.
In Shir’s memory trees were planted in Moshav Yad Rambam where Shir grew up most of her life.
