On Friday evening, 6 Adar 5764 (27.02.2004), Eitan and Rima left their home in Livneh on their way to Ashdod, to a friend's birthday party. Fifteen minutes after they left, at 7:45 PM, their vehicle was ambushed by terrorists near the Shoket junction and Kibbutz Lahav. The terrorists shot and murdered the couple.
