After graduating from high school, 19-year-old Uri Ansbacher volunteered for national service at the Yaelim Center in south Jerusalem, which provides nature therapy to at-risk youth.
On Thursday, February 7, 2019 (February 7, 2019), Uri left the Yaelim Center to walk and write in the nearby forest, where she was attacked and murdered by a Palestinian terrorist who arrived at the scene.
Uri was 19 years old at the time of her death.
