On Friday July 26th 1996 the Monk family were on their way to their home in Mevo Beitar.

Near Moshav Gefen terrorists in overtaking vehicle opened fire killing Uri Monk 53 years old and his son’s wife Rachel 24 years old, Uri’s son Zeev was badly wounded.

Zeev 29 years old died two days later.
His organs were donated and saved the life of five people.

Zeev is commeorated at his work place at the X-Ray institute in Hebron.
