On Thursday March 13th 1997 a bus with 50 students and teachers from the “first” school in Beit Shemesh entered the “peace Island” in Naharyim near the border with Jordan.
When they were on their way to see the view a Jordanian soldier opened fire killing seven students.
The Seven girls are commemorated on a Square in Holon where the Sculpture Moshe Zovel created in the shape of a bent tree , the word Shalom (Peace) written on it and near it seven flowers.
