On Sunday August 29th 1999, Yechiel Shay and his girlfriend Sharon Steinmetz were hiking in Megido forest. Near the creek a man approached them and started talking to them, suddenly he pulled a knife and stabbed them both.
Yechiel Shay was 26 years old, Sharon Steinmetz was 21 years old.
