On 29th October 2000, at 1 pm a terrorist entered the lobby of the social security offices in east Jerusalem, the terrorist opened fire and shot the two security guards.
The two were seriously wounded and were rushed to Hadassah Hospital. Eish Kodesh Gilmore, 25 years old who was shot in the head died in the hospital.
Eish Kodesh Gilmore was a computer programming student, had a year and half baby. Served in the Golani brigade and in the last two years of his life was a security guard in east Jerusalem.
A memorial for Gilmore was built in Moshav Mevo Modi’in, it is a garden and gazebo which is used occasionally as a prayer place.
