During the pogroms in Hebron in 1929 on 23rd of August was murdered the head of the city committee, Meir Shmuel Kastel.
The next day on Saturday 24th of August 1929 Hanoch Hasson the chief judge of the Sephardic courts was killed with his wife Klara.
