Advanced Staff Sergeant Major Ahmed Mazarib and Staff Sergeant Major Ahed Rachal served in the Maale Adumim police station. On February, 18th 2002 while on patrol they spotted a suspicious car. They signaled him to stop and approached the car, the driver started to escape. Ahmed caught the driver and went to check the car while Ahed checked the computer. The driver blew up the car killing himself and Ahmed.
The two policemen were decorated by the police.
