Ben Yehuda Boardwalk

On Saturday night, Decmeber 1st, 2001 near the Ice cream parlor "Katzefet" in the Ben Yehuda boardwalk a large explosion happened. It was a suicide bomber who approached a group of young men that were celebratin there.

The expolsion was a first in a series of three, two suicide bombers and a car bomb.

Eleven people were killed and hundreds wounded that night

Short time after the attack the governor os New York, the mayor of New York city and the former Mayor Rudi Juliani visited the place and planted a tree in memory of the fallen in the attack.
