On Thursday March 18th 1948 a team of the Electric Company was sent to fix the lines that were sabotaged in the northern part of Acre. The team was accompanied by British soldiers. The convoy was ambushed in Acre, five British soldiers were killed and the rest fled the scene leaving the team to the Arab mob. four workers were killed.
The main street of Acre is named after them- The raod of the four.
The four were, Yeshayahu Halbatz, 50 Yehoshua Borenstein, 40 Avraham Steinfres, 43 and the driver Kalman Geller, 35.
