Mishmar HaYarden old cemetary

In 1938 the Arabs destroyed the device that supplied water to Mishmar hayarden, the people had to go down to a spring of the Jordan river to get water. On July 26th, 1938, Haim Grabovski, 40 years old and his son Menachem, 16 years old, went to get water. On their way back they were ambushed by Arab terrorists that shot the two.

The father and son were killed. On their joint grave stone it was written “Together in life together in death”

Two month after the attack, Rivka, Haim’s wife gave birth to a baby boy and named him after the two, Haim-Menachem.
