On Thursday, Nov 2nd, 2000, in the afternoon a terrorist from the Islamic Jihad exploded a car bomb in Shomron street in Jerusalm, not far from Machne Yehuda market. Ten people were wounded and two were killed, Hanan Levy, 33 years old who was on his way back to the office from his lunch break, and Ayelet Hashachar Levy, 27, who was moving her apartment into Jerusalem.

Even though the attack was on Shomron street the commemoration was erected on Einayim LeMishpat street near by.
