On October 7th, 2004, a suicide murderer exploded a car bomb at the entrance to “Hilton Taba” hotel. A large part of the hotel was destroyed and many of the guests and workers were wounded. 31 people were killed on spot, among the dead were 9 Israelis.
An hour and half later, a terrorist exploded and car bomb in Ras-A-Satan in Sinai. Einat Naor, 28 years old, from Kibbutz Zikim near Ashkelon, went on vacation to Sinai at beginning of Sukoth. Einat was wounded in her head and waited for hours to be evacuated. Two hours later an Egyptian Ambulance arrived with almost no medical equipment, the Ambulance broke down on the way to the Taba Terminal, Einat was transferred to another vehicle and arrived at Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat around 6 AM, some seven hours after the attack. Einat passed away in the Hospital as a result of her injury. Total of three Israelis were killed in Ras-A Satan attack.
At the entrance to Kibbutz Zikim there’s a sitting place with few commemorations, Einat’s memorial included.
