On August 25th 1938, Gavriel Shloosh, 32 years old, went from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on business trip. Near Ramla he was shot and wounded by an Arab terrorist, Gavriel died after a week.
The synagogue in his memory is located at the Aharon Shloosh street named after Gavriel’s grandfather.
