On Friday December 30th 1955 as result of strong rains, the only way from Beer Sheva to Eilat was washed. Workers coming to fix the road went into an ambush. Terrorists open fire on the vehicle killing the two armed guards and wounding the driver.
Avraham Eretz-Kdosha was 24 years old, Simshon Shwartz was 26.
