On Saturday April 7th 1956, Mordechai (Mota) Burgin went to pick volunteers that will go to help in fortifying the border settlements in the northern part of Israel. When his car arrived near Tel Kuneitra a terrorist group opened fire and threw grenades at the car. Mota was killed and a passenger near him was wounded.
Mota was 22 years old.
