On the last day of school, June 30th, 2016, a Muslim terrorist from a near by village entered the isolated house of the Ariel family at the north edge of Kiriyat Arba near Hebron.
The terrorist entered Hallel’s room through an open window and stabbed her nine times in her heart and body.
After murdering Hallel the terrorist remained in the house waiting for other family members to come, Hallel’s father, Amichai came with two other guys from the standby unit of the settlement, they struggled with the terrorist and killed him, in the struggle one of the guys lost his eye.
Hallel’s mother wrote a book “Hallel’s chapters” about the journey of the mother and the Bat Mitzvah girl.
The book opens with comics suited for the twelve year old, in it the reader meets Hallel’s unique character her qualities and challenges she faced as a bat Mitzvah girl.
