On February 14th, 1992, near Kibbutz Gilad in Ramot Menashe area, three terrorists members of the Islamic movement penetrated a military base and attacked the soldiers in it, they used axes, knifes and pitchforks. Three soldiers were killed, amongst the three Guy Friedman, 20 years old who was the squad leader of the newly recruited soldiers.
The monument was created by Guy’s father, David, it is a mobile monument since it can’t be put permanently in the place as it is an active military training area, the area also is abandoned for long time and animals are roaming the place. The monument is therefore placed near the family house and is used only for ceremonies at the place of attack.
