On August 8, 2019, Dvir Sorek, 19, student at the Or Torah Machanyim Yeshiva, went to Jerusalem to buy a present. After his family failed to contact him security forces started looking and after few hours Dvir was found stabbed dead.
Dvir grandfather Rabbi Benjamin Herling was murdered on 2000 in a terror attack, Rabbi Herling was on a trip in Mount Eival overlooking Joseph’s tomb in Shchem (Nablus). Palestinians from a near by refugee camp shot the group on the trip. Rabbi Herling , 64, was badlu wounded and later died.
