On the morning of Friday, 22nd of Av 5779 (23.08.2019), Dvir-Haim went on a trip with her father and brother in the Binyamin region. As they walked along the path towards "Ma'ayan Dani" (formerly Ein Bobin) near the settlement of Dolev, members of a terrorist squad who were watching them from the mountain opposite remotely activated a roadside bomb they had planted there. Rene was murdered on the spot in the intense explosion, her father and brother were seriously injured.
Rene was murdered and she was sixteen years old.
The family established the "Kol Rina" association, which aims to increase the practice of Rene's three loves - charity, Torah study, and expanding springs and reservoirs in the Land of Israel. Among the projects that the association leads throughout the country: organizing Shabbat tables, establishing second-hand clothing stores, "Kol Rana" midrashim and hundreds of lessons, preparing a daily study booklet, holding a "Rana Journey" trip, assisting in the construction and renovation of trails and springs throughout the Land of Israel, and much more.
