On September 21, 2013, Tomer Hazan, a soldier, 21 years old, was lured by a Palestinian terrorist who worked with him in a restaurant to come to the terrorist village in the Palestinian controlled area.
The terrorist then murdered him in hope to make a deal and release the terrorist brother from Israeli jail in return for Tomer’s body.
In Tomer’s memory a roundabout was named after Tomer, at the border of Rishon LeZion and Bat Yam where he was born and lived
