On Saturday, August 19, 2023, Aviad Nir, 28, and his father, Shai Silas Nigarkar, 60, residents of Ashdod, arrived in the village of Huwara, where they stayed for several hours. They were unarmed. They came to Huwara to repair the air conditioner in their car and buy car accessories - and then took it to be washed at a nearby business. The terrorist arrived at the scene and shot them at close range, killing them.
