On the morning of January 3rd 1939 Arab Terrorists sabotaged the water flow from Ein Aros spring to the Potash factory near Sodom. Workers from the factory went to check the spring to see what was wrong. When the workers approached the spring, some 50-60 Arab terrorists opened fire at them from an ambush.
Michael Blum, 38 years old, Shmuel Bernstein, 33 and Hari Lubianov, 21 were killed from the shooting.
A monument in their memory stands near the road leading to Neot Hakikar. Close to the junction with road 90.
