On Decemebr, 20th, 1968, Colonel Zvi Ofer, 36, to Wadi Kelt, west of Jericho, and joined an effort to capture Palestinians terrorists that were headed towards Jerusalem to attack Jewish people who lived there. Zvi who was in front of his soldiers was shot and badly wounded. He later died in the hospital.
